Marcos Trejo

This year’s Village Church Community Theater’s Christmas Production is called, “Double Your Christmas Joy, Two Musicals, One Show…The Gift of the Magi and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”. A new teacher at the Horizon Prep School, Marcos Trejo, has been chosen for the lead role in The Gift of the Magi, adapted by Jon Jory, from the story by O. Henry. His diverse music experience and his love for theater prompted him to audition. He is a native Californian, has a great love of dogs and of Moonlight Beach and he started giving back to community by working with children at the Village Church Community Theater’s Music and Drama Camp in 2015. Being a songwriter since he was very young aided him in getting a songwriting scholarship to the Berklee College of Music. Mr. Trejo has a B.A. degree in Choral Conducting from SDSU and a B.S. degree in Biology from UCSD. His most recent music commission was for a piece composed for full orchestra and he was thrilled to conduct his own score. At Horizon Prep, Mr. Trejo teaches band, choir, orchestra, and music history. Please join other patrons as we all gather to enjoy his and all the actor’s performances for this year’s Christmas production at the Village Church Community Theater, 6225 Paseo Delicias in Rancho Santa Fe, December 2, 3 & 4.
