This comedy is the story of a mild-mannered yet eccentric gentleman, Elwood P. Dowd, and his best friend, Harvey -- a six-foot tall invisible rabbit. Made famous by the 1950 film of the same name starring Jimmy Stewart, the play is set in 1944. When Elwood begins to introduce Harvey to folks in town, his embarrassed sister and niece become determined to commit Elwood to a sanitarium. Mistakes are made, people go missing, chaos ensues, but in the end everyone realizes that family love is unconditional.

The Gift of the Magi…This heartwarming one-act, narrated by a group of Christmas carolers, tells the story of Della and Jim, who are desperately in love with each other but also very poor. In their attempts to buy each other proper Christmas gifts, a strange twist of fate leads the couple to find the perfect gifts for one another -- but at an unexpected cost. Though they may not have the perfect Christmas, the couple learns about the importance of the gift of love in this beautiful adaptation of the story by O. Henry.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever…In this hilarious Christmas classic, a church struggling to put on a Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids--the most inventively awful kids in town. You won't believe the mayhem - and the fun - when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head on, and tehn learn the true meaning of Christmas. The singing of Christmas carols by soloists and small groups are an important part of this one-act musical production.

Alice at Wonderland the Musical

The Village Church Community Theater presents

Alice @ Wonderland - The Musical
Book By Jonathan Yukich
Music By Bill Francoeur
Lyrics By Scott Deturk
Additional Lyrics By Bill Francoeur

2017 Performances:
Friday, May 5 @ 7:00 PM
Saturday, May 6 @ 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM
Sunday, May 7 @ 2:00 PM

The folly of the 21st century collides with the madness of Wonderland in this rockin’ new musical adaptation that remains fairly faithful to Lewis Carroll’s original tale. The twist? Alice is a texting, tweeting and Googling girl of the modern digital era, yet she finds herself in the Wonderland of old. With all of the characters you know and love including the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit and the Queen of Hearts, this musical imagines a present-day Alice encountering the Wonderland so many of us treasure. (Pioneer Drama Service)

With its many references to social networking and the digital age, and a contemporary score, this fast-paced adaptation will appeal to both children and adults.
